The Den is located in New Cross, London, England. The stadium was built in 1909 and opened in October 1910. Millwall moved to The Den from North Greenwich in 1910. Before they moved to The Den, Millwall had occupied four separate grounds in the Isle of Dogs within the span of 25 years, since the formation of Millwall. The Den is where the Millwall Roar was born. The Den became one of the most feared places in the Country, no team liked to play there because the fans created such an intimidating atmosphere. Millwall played there last game at The Den on May 8th, 1993, after 83 years.
In May of 1993 Millwall moved to The New Den, this would make The New Den the sixth ground that Millwall has occupied since the formation of the group. The New Den opened in August 1993 and is located in Bermondsey, London, England. The stadium can seat up too 20,000 fans and is under a quarter-of-a-mile away from The Old Den. The New Den is where Millwall still plays today.
